Our success in part is due to direct access. We work on-site with residents to develop programs that build skills, foster connectedness, and promote strengths. Because our staff works right in the apartment complexes we serve, they become neighbors and friends to the families in the complex. Because we are neighbors, we also support the social systems within the complexes. These neighborhood support networks are a primary resource (and much-needed safety net) for the families we serve.
Our major goal is to partner with families to create communities where children thrive. Our integrated, culturally relevant programs build skills, foster connectedness, and promote strengths. We operate a vibrant community learning center here at the Creston Point apartment complex in South King County, providing on-site children and youth, family, and community-building programs for residents, and positively impacting all of the approximately 2,000 people who live in these communities.
